I was raised in an abusive, alcoholic home. What I remember about my childhood is feeling very alone, unworthy of anyone's love and protection. As a teenager, I got into the wrong crowd of friends and by 15, had developed my own drinking problem. I was seeking love and acceptance in unhealthy, destructive relationships with men.

      At 22, I cried out to God and asked for help and the living God, Jesus Christ interceded in my life and delivered me from my drinking problem. Jesus has led me on an amazing road to recovery. I will every praise you, Lord, you have freed me from captivity, given me hope and a future secure in you.
