It was just a spiritual renewal for me when I encountered the Small Group here at TBC.  I was saved and baptized at TBC a long long time ago.  I had confidence because I studied Christianity and the Bible very much and read many related books.

I was transferred to Osaka and lived there for over 20 years.  For those 20 years I attended church services on Sundays in Osaka, but kept my church membership at TBC. I was never involved with activities at church there. I was satisfied with the fact that I read the Bible every morning and evening, and I went churches whenever I could.

When I came back to Tokyo and TBC, my church, I found out that TBC became bigger in numbers and was filled with active spirit.  I did not know where I belonged. For now, I was just a stranger here at TBC.  I saw many members, especially, young people, who were willing to dedicated themselves and serve the Lord.  I realized that I had been an immature Christian for a long time.  I was praying and asking God’s guidance to find a Small Group, but I could not find the proper time and place to join. One Sunday morning, Pastor Dennis made an announcement that a Small Group was beginning at his home. I knew that  the Lord provided for me!  Those who are from different countries, different culture and different thinking get together to study the Bible in depth, learn many things, exchange our own opinions, problems and prayers in warm atmosphere just like a family.  It has given me the most fruitful time I have never had in my Christian life.  It became the most important time during the week for me. I am learning so much and maturing as a Christian. God provides our needs whatever and whenever we pray and seek.  I encourage you to join a small group. I am sure it will enrich your life as it did mine.
